Rediculous request to fulfill a claim

My parents have been with "Outsurance"(Policy no: OT 4118937) for over 10 years now and have only claimed about twice for window crack repairs. About 2 months ago they had a "storm water accident" when they were driving back from holiday. It rained heavily and water came up to the middle of the doors. There was no damage at the time but about a month later, there was parts on the car seizing because of the water that got into the engine.(My parents have the exact details of what is wrong-Im only writing this report on their behalf). My mom had the problems assessed at a dealer and she was given an estimate on the damage in a few hours. Now, "Outsurance" tells her that the car has te be collected by them at Evander, Mpumalanga and taken to Witbank to assess the damage and this will take 14 days-never mind how long they will take to finalize the claim and fix the car. My parents can't be without a car for so long - they only have 1. My mom just told "Outsurance" to cancel the claim because of this - as if that is exactly what "Outsurance" wanted. Now I ask you- How are they "BENDING OVER BACKWARDS" for the client???
