We have been banking with Standard bank for over 10 yrs and decided to apply for our home loan with them.

Due to Telkom issues my husband's work details could not be confirmed. We have tried every way possible to rectify this to the point of visiting the Gateway branch where we were met with a lady who seemed like she just wanted to get rid of us. We then drove to the Durban North branch where we spoke to one of the Home loans divisions team leaders by the name of Sfiso via the call centre. LET ME MAKE A POINT AGAIN THAT NO ONE AT ANY OF THESE 2 BRANCHES COULD GIVE US A CLEAR ANSWER AND ALSO HAD TO GO VIA THE CALL CENTRE.
He gave my husband his word that he would call back by Monday at 9 as yet we have not recieved a call from him.

My husband has made - 13 calls to the call centre (NOT CHEAP) and has not got 1 call back to date.

Obviously Standard bank do not value us as customers and it seems like we should take our banking to some other bank that would value us. I would like to hear from Standard bank before I do so.

i am hoping to hear from Standard bank sooner rather than later.
