I am writing this letter with huge dissatisfaction, with Standard Bank.

I tried several times to apply for the access bond in my home loan account with no success.

I called the Standard Bank contact centre, I e-mailed them and eventually went to the branch, South Gate Mall on 18 May 2013, with no success. The consultant at South Gate, firstly told me I will need to call their call centre for this. And that at the Branch this kind of service is not offered. I told him I did that already and was told to do it on the Internet, and I was told because my debit order comes from an FNB account, my request will not be successful.
To cut this short. I left the Bank with a sad face and a feedback that they cant help, UNTIL my bond account is paid from a Standard Bank Account, then they will release the access bond. Does this mean I am now forced to use Standard Bank, in order to get what is rightfully mine? Is Standard Bank punishing me for using another Banking Institution and not them for this? Where is the freedom of choice? STANDARD Bank is pathetic in many ways and they have no shame. I wont stop until my access bond is made available to me being paid from another Institution or not!!
