I have been a customer with Standard Bank for over 10 years, my recent experience with Standard Bank has been nothing but horrid. The call centre is a JOKE, such in experienced team. On average a simple query can take up to 30 minutes, if you lucky for it to be sorted out. In this era banking is suppose to be smart and efficient, but Standard Bank instead of moving your banking "forward" they actually moving banking "backwards". The centralised branch call centre, whom ever thought this would work? Try calling the branch to speak to your designated banker which sounds all so fancy when you open the account. Firstly the branch does not answer the phone, the call centre keeps trying and when you do get through only to be told the banker is consulting, which is a very common line and frustrating especially in time of an emergency. The centralisation of the branches has just made personnel in the bank lazy. You can never speak to a senior management at standard bank to let them know of your concerns. Management hides behind the call centre.
Try getting hold of Fourways Crossing no one answers, I am surprised that SB has any customers left. I am surely going to change my bank.
