Money not deducted as per debit orde

I took a loun last year and would be paid via debit order, in the beggining they deducted twice in 1 month and it happend 5 times where everytime i went to bank and nothing changed. after i removed all the money from the account everything went great until january where my monthly instalment keeps on increasing i couldn't understand why so i went to the bank to inspect why so they tell me that no money was deducted on desember because of company's closing and so on. the branch manager said i need to make arrangements to pay the money but i recieved no statements of the amount i still owe or of the money that is in arrears. so i see no point in paying a mistake that the bank made of not deducting the money and not notifing me of such actions
