I went to the Capitec branch for my account being in a minus due to the ABSA terminals and the Capitec clients. The consultant at the branch Mr. White contacted the customer care centre only to be told there is no department that can sort or assist with my query and I should accept it and move on. My account is in a minus as the deductions done is December only went off in January. I feel I should not be held accountable as Capitec sent me a sms with my available balance. I received the sms and to ensure that I was working according to my budget I checked my bank statement, there was payments pending on my account which I do not dispute HOWEVER when checking my balance on my account (statement on the website) and available balance (the sms that was sent) the difference between the two was the amounts still pending (which to me means that the money for that was "put aside") I do not understand how there would be a difference between my balance and available balance apart from the R25 that is needed to keep the account open. I was also told upon opening this account it can not go into the minus. I hope whoever reads this understands what I mean because this has been a uphill struggle
