I have an individual cover with old mutual since 2011, i had a child last year May and called the call centre to add my child, they said i must go to the branch because they can not do over the phone, which does not make sense to me. i did not get a chance to go the branch and left my child not covered. now i'm married and want to change to a family plan, i called the call centre and was told that they dont have that type of cover, i will have to add my husband to the existing policy including my child and whoever that i want to add, i told the guy that it will be expensive, i want a family plan, he said an advisor will call me within 24 hours, 4 days later someone calls me and offered me a new policy and i told him i just want to change, and he said he will call me back. he called me back and said he will transfere me to the right department, he transfered me and after i was on hold for almost 15 minutes i had to explain myself over again, i want old mutual to change my policy to a family plan, if they don't have the product, then cancel the policy. simple as that.
