No feed back after 10 days!!!

On the 01.02.2013 I sent through a letter requesting std banks permission for a second dwelling on my property & to confirm that they are my current bond holder as this is required by the R/bay municiipality in order to pass the plans for my house. On the 01.02.2013 i received an SMS saying that std bank has received my request and that it will probably take about 10 days for them to send through the information that i requested. Today 11.02.2013 i called the call centre to find out the progress, i spoke to a guy by the name of Thabiso (call ref 51847911) who informed me that nothing was done after my request was sent through, he said that he has escalated the matter further. I just think that this is so ridiculous, how can nothing be done after almost 10days??? how long am i supposed to wait for this??? this is really holding up my plans for the house and I cant understand how after 10 days absolutely nothing was done??? This is totally unprofessional, i do understand that your'll are busy however it is abit frustrating to wait for 10days only to find out that nothing was even done as yet.
