Standard Bank is absolutely the worst bank to deal with!!! We have a homeloan with STD at a rediculous interest rate of prime 2.25, we tried to reduce it but to no avail, we have since had a better offer from FNB of prime -1.1, while in the process of moving I realized my house was insured with Standard Bank insurance aswell as Outsurance, I have called STD as Outsurance needs some docs in order for me to be reimbursed 50% from both insurances. This request I have asked for on the 10.6.2013, they said 3 days, I followed up on 13.6.2013 and spoke to Ntombi, I requested to speak to a supervisor, he just refused to speak to me, Ntombi said she will find out from STD insurance and come back to me I have to stay on the line. After holding on for about 5 min, she didn't speak to me but just transferred me. I abolutely regret dealing with STD and would never have a bond there again. Can someone please just assist me in giving me the documents required. I have decided also not to stay with STD insurance as the service overall leaves much to debate with.
