Insurance Policy taken out without permission

It is shocking that after more than 10 years as a customer and paying my account each and every month without a single months issue, and financing several vehicles over the years, that i would be subjected to Wesbank and DirectAxis informing me that an insurance policy has been taken out on my account, without my written or verbal permission.

i woke up to find an email with a policy document and policy wording that my vehicle is now insured through a DA policy. I NEVER even agreed to be quoted, let alone have a policy taken out nor did I give DirectAxis permission to operate on my behalf, nor did I give Wesbank to take out another policy when i have one in force.

My vehicle has been insured continuously through my own insurance and wesbank was informed of such.

what is the best about this is that my wife and I are both looking at new cars and refinancing them. I will ensure that I do not use Wesbank again. Afterall. it seems that 10 years as a loyal and good customer counts for absolutely nothing.

This must be cancelled with immediate effect and ALL costs reversed.
