Bad Debt Written Off - Absurd

I have been a loyal FNB client for 34 years and did all my vehicle financing through Wesbank. About 6 years ago I had an accident with one of my vehicles and it was written off. My insurance settled the full amount with Wesbank. For some reason it is shown on Wesbank's sytem as a bad debt written off. For six years now I have been struggling to clear my name because every time I apply for a personal loan or a home loan at FNB they deny it bacause of that incident. I have sent them (Wesbank and FNB) through proof of payment from the insurance company on numerous occasions and have recieced a letter from the MD of Wesbank stating that the fault was on their side. When I phoned them again this morning for the 100th time to again try and resolve this issue the lady on the phone tells me that that incident will stay there till the end of time and that she can't do anything about that. Which means that every time I apply for finance or loans at FNB I have to explain the whole story all over again. That is pathetic! Wesbank stuff it up and they can't rectify their stuffup. Clearly there is a level of incompetance with the most innovative bank for 2012.
