Stinking reputation

I have been handed over by Standard Bank to this company, then they gave me a full amount which was owed to standard bank, i told them the debt cant be that amount as there are payment which i have sent through to Std bank and they say to me I must send them proof of payment to proof i paid the account. this i have done twice without hearing from them, now when i follow up i get told its not their problem that the account was paid with standard bank they will recover the money from me in full, how come when i have already paid a portion of the debt? Also i have requested them to deduct the money on the 27th of everymonth and they go and deduct on the 25th which is 2 days before my pay day. such rubbish.
