We missed our connecting flight due to a delayed flight by Air France. The delay was 5 1/2 hours. All relevant documentation was submitted to Oojah Travel Protection. The claim has been rejected twice on different grounds which we find strange. At the time we landed in Paris, in order to reach our original booked destination, we would have had to spend double the cost already incurred and this would have meant that we would only have been able to spend a short time at the destination if we could get there as there was a volcanic eruption there causing the airport to be closed. We were not willing to chance the fact that the airport may not open for days. We, therefore, decided to limit our costs due to the delay and to be able to spend a reasonable period of time on holiday at a different destination and not to spend the time waiting at airports.
We are not claiming for the costs of reaching our ultimate holiday destination but are claiming the costs of the forfeited EasyJet flights we missed due to circumstances beyond our control.

Your policy document does not state clearly that the insurance will not cover the situation where the final destination is changed
