This is in connection with a return flight from JHB to Durban that I have booked for the weekend of the 19th of July 2013. I needed to cancel this ticket as I found out that I was being transferred to Durban for work for 6 months a week after I booked my ticket. I phoned Kulula customer care almost a month in advance to change this flight but my efforts were unsuccessful.
I find it very disappointing that due to unforeseen circumstances, the company is not willing to review their policy on a name change or the fact that I have to pay R342 x 2 return for a destination or date change plus any additional costs of the new flights. These added costs increase the original cost of my ticket (which was R1400) to almost the new cost of a ticket. Being a fresh graduate intern, R1400 is a lot of money to waste on a flight that I will not even be taking.
I have given the company more than sufficient notice of my change and I find it very unacceptable that they are unwilling to change this for me.
