SAA flights double the price half the service

When booking my flight with SAA, which cost double what I paid for the same flight with Emirates, I expected service which would be on par with the ridiculously priced ticket. This was, however, not the case. On arrival in Johannesburg, (where I had only a 1.5 hr connecting time) I was told that luggage needs to be collected and checked in again. After waiting 50 minutes at the carousel and being pressed for time I was told by SAA staff to rather RUN to board my next flight and that my luggage may have gone all the way to Durban. No surprise, when I got to Durban there was no sign of the suitcase. When reporting the missing suitcase to baggage enquiries I was assured several times that I would receive my suitcase the following day. Only two days later, after making several phone calls, did I receive my luggage. After 20 hours of traveling nobody wants to be running around an airport to make connecting flights, only to reach their destination and not have their luggage there too. Not having my personal belongings (including medication, make-up etc) the first two days of my trip has been an absolute inconvenience. SAA's service has been dismal and I hope to NEVER fly with them again!
