I am completely and utterly amazed at the total lack of effective assistance.

RICA - the amount of times I have had to correct their RICA information! I am still being held up each and every time I contact them to VERIFY information they have not updated before they can assist me with the actual query. Somehow, Standard Bank has a record of my home number over 10 years outdated, but their "SYSTEM! " cannot show them that updated RICA information was submitted AND CONFIRMED TO BE UPDATED BY PERSONNEL just yesterday.

The dreaded Call Centre: Every call centre directs you to a different one and no one has the authority to do much more than tick yes or no boxes on their screen. Plus info from one call to the next doesn't agree.

What happened with being able to talk to someone at your bank that has some degree of understanding and the capacity to connect the dots and SEE the problem and be part of the solution.

My complaint to their Complaints department months ago warranted no response from them. Presumably, then, my business is also not welcome.
I have successfully opened my new account at FNB and is glad to see the back of Standard Bank.
