Rain damage. Downstairs room flooded. Water coming from under the ground, through the skirting. Room is like a swimming pool, ankle deep. Logged claim via website, received reference. All the telephone numbers I call have to hold on up to 9 min, I press to leave a message only to be told the mailbox is full. Called the emergency line 16h45 spoke to Leslie, promised that someone would call me back. Called 18h25, Leslie said not to worry, someone will contact me the same night. Called 20h05 spoke to Brenda/ Barbara, said she would send an SMS to 2 ladies. Told me that I would have to pay R500 excess when they get there. At 20h35 Barbara called me, said someone will call and come out tonight. At 22h55 called, spoke to Joleen (laughing in the background) then Barbara said she sent e-mail to claims department, will do so again and CC me. I am a 53 year old widow. I cut a piece of hosepipe and sucked on the end to try and get the water out. All the furniture in the room is damaged. Why no response!!!
