Old Mutual has delayed our Lumps Sum payment for a period of 3 months (which is now going to the 4th month). We were told that the claim only takes 7 weeks. We did our claim in the first week of November, in preparation for January schooling registrations. But up until now we haven't received our payments and not even the feedback to tell us what is causing the delay.

Today, I had to send an email to find out whats happening and still it doesn't seem like we going get any positive answer. They are still doing their processes which I believe were meant to be completed by the end of December. This has really been a very frustrating year for my younger sisters who'll have to commence their studies in June due to lack of funds which we understand that it is not Old Mutual's problem, but should they have processed what is due to us we wouldn't be in the situation we are in now.

We really need to be given feedback regarding the progress and why is it taking more than expected?

I'm hoping that the management of Old Mutual, will take this incident seriously and give us quick feedback. We urgently need the funds to make our lives better.
