Refusal to help with foreign currency

I bank with Nedbank and went to the Pavilion branch on Tuesday 29.01.13 to enquire about foreign currency - Norwegian Krone. I checked on the website where Norwegian Krone is listed and thus made the assumption that the bank can assist me. I was told (after waiting 30 minutes in a queue) by the lady at enquirers that "Nobody goes to Norway, we don't keep Krone" I asked if it could not be ordered or must I go to another branch and was told by the banker who assists on the floor "We cannot help you, have you been to other Bureau de Changes? " I wanted to do the transaction with my bank as there would be minimal charges and no run around.

I was highly upset as I have been a Nedbank client for many years. It just seems that no effort was made at all to even try to attempt to assist me. If they had exhausted EVERY possible avenue and then said we are sorry we cannot help you, I would have accepted that. Am thinking of seriously switching banks.
