Inexplicably bad service

I opened the Estate Late Account for my father's estate on Jan 9th and was told I could collect the cheque book in 3 working days. Chequebook arrived made out to the wrong person (a botched version of my dad's name). They apologised and ordered another chequebook.

Went to collect after 5 days, and the chequebook was missing. No-one could see whether it had arrived, whether it had been ordered, or what the story is. Was told that the order had been placed correctly, but no further details could be found. They told me that they could make out a bank cheque if I need one.

Went to collect again today to be told that the bank has been offline since Saturday. I can't collect the chequebook because (1) it is still not there and (2) even if it is, they can't issue it because they are not online. They also can't issue me a bank cheque.

I now need to go to another branch, wait in line, take all the documents etc, and hope that they will issue me a bank cheque. This has taken me about 2 hours so far, wonder how long it's still going to take.

I am a Prestige Client and don't see the point of that at all - the service is just as bad as with everyone else.
