Allopass
Unsolicited subscription and charges

Business & Finance

I was charged R30 per message for a 123 "messages" on the 30th November 2013 and the 18th of December 2013 on a mobile number assigned to me. Today I found out that the charges are apparently for purchasing currency from this company named Allopass. I cannot find contact details on their website for complaints, the only contact details are for buyers or merchants. Frankly I am sick of trying to solve the propblem via call centres and I feel that my rights have been infringed by this company. Surely this cannot be legal? They should have a system in place to make 100% sure they are lawfully taking money from the right person. They should provide proof of where I gave permission for them to take these kind of amounts from me, instead of me fighting a system where all I get is disinterested call centre agents, empty promises of for future resolution, but no real answers.
