Homeloners insurance: standard bank is the worst!!!

On wednesday evening strong winds blew off some roof tiles in my mother's house.she lodged a claim on thursday morning.i enquired later that day about turn around times and was told 24 hours.24hours later the inspectors havent pitched, i call in they say they'll send them asap. Its friday 4 pm. I call to thell them that the inspector hast pitched and it will also take another 72 hours for the claim to be appoved/declined after it has been submitted by the inspector who is a no show! So i ask what happens if it rains because it will flood the house, I am told that thats our responsibility we should use plastics and buckets!!! and then im told to use an emergency R2000 to get someone to temporarily fix it or whatever if its an emergency... i would have thought that the fact that the roof blew off was emergency enough!!! my mother has been paying this boind for 18 Years now and this service still continues!!! its not the 1st time either, .Standard bank stop running away from your responsibilities.you must be the bank ive ever come across! shame on you for fooling people!!! you better sorts this nonsense out and forbid it rains before you fix that house!!!
