I used to work for Blue Label Distribution (6 months ago) and my contact details was on the system with ABSA if the branches had any queries. During my time at the company I complained numerous times to our relationship manager regarding the branches that give out my cellphone number to random customers as this is COMPLETELY unacceptable!
We informed the banks when I left to remove me from all accounts, yet I am still getting calls from ABSA branches and this morning a random person phoned me at 6:30 in the morning to query a deposit that she made that was not reflecting and the branch gave her my cellphone number!!!
How is that not a violation of my privacy???
