3 months to trace a payment

I went to my bank, FNB, to add Standard Bank Vehicle Asset Finance as a recipient. I discovered that consultant added the recipient incorrectly, and repeatedly sent proof of payment to Standard Bank VAF for the payment to be traced. Each time I called, I was told to resend PoP as your admin department had not traced the payment / had not received the proof. Only today, about three months later have I been informed that the funds went to one of your clients' account and not one of your Group Accounts.
Obviously, the consultant at FNB is at fault for adding the wrong recipient, but does it really need to take 3 months to trace one single payment? I sent proof of payment by fax and email more than 7 times over the past three months, and made follow up phone calls each time. My account has been in arrears during the time that you have been 'tracing' this payment as a result.
