56 hour delay in internet payment from STB to STB

I am writing this to share my disappointment in Standard Bank.

I made an EFT payment from a Standard Bank account to a Standard Bank account that was delayed for more than 56 hours before the payment was completed. I complained about this and only received a email with a copy of Standard bank's "waiting period" in internet banking stating the following "Please be advised that when making payments from Standard Bank to another Standard Bank account, the maximum time the payment can take to go through is one business day, from Standard Bank to any other bank is three business days." At the time this email was received the payment was already delayed for more than 36hours. I tried responding to the email, where I received an automatic response, "Thank you for your e-mail and for bringing the matter to our attention".

This was not the first time, my previous payment from a Standard bank to Standard bank account also took more than 48hours to complete.

Please can you provide me with a detailed explanation of why my payment took this long to complete, will this delay continue in the future, because you must understand in today's time you can't afford not having this reliabilit
