I have been a loyal Nedbank customer for many years. As a business owner I have over the years utilized Nedbanks loan facilities i.e. home loans X 3, expensive machinery and other assets.
I have a credit card facility that I make use of. linked to that are the Nedbank Greenback points. I have over the years accumulating points to get to appoint where I can redeem my points for a sizable gift. I was sent a letter by post giving me my points balance. It reflected a zero balance. I contacted customer care who told me that my concerns would get logged and she was sure that there would be no issue with reinstating the lost points.
Today 15/01/2014 I got a phone call from customer services informing me that my points could not be reinstated.
Really is this how Nedbank promotes customer loyalty! In my view this is very short sited of Nedbank resulting in a negative customer experience. Surely when a customer with an excellent track record with the bank makes a phone call to ask for assistance with regards reinstating accumulated earned points, assistance is given which goes towards building good and continued customer support.
I will be closing my Credit and American Express Cards
