I was involved in an accident where it was not my fault, where the other person drove on the wrong side of the road ect... I then turned to My insurance (Alexander Forbes). They informed that I need log a claim and they will assist in getting the repair cost back from the other persons insurance company. I got confirmation that my claim has been approved and the Consultant told me that I need to take my vehicle to the manufacturer and pay the excess to manufacturer. Took my vehicle in for the repairs Monday and they phoned me to inform me that I need to pay the repair costs in full. I then phoned Alexander Forbes and the consultant told me that the person handling my claim is on leave, but I only need to pay the excess. I told her that it is urgent, as the repairs is underway. She informed me that she will then contact the dealership. She will also phone me back to confirm. I'm still waiting for the call and paid the full repair amount to get my vehicle back. I'm logging this complaint on Hellopeter, as this is the only way Alexander Forbes Insurance will maybe get assistance. I am really fed up with their. This is not the fist time I had to revert to Hellopeter.
