Absolutely amazed how Dial Direct operates!

I have a minor bumper bashing with a taxi and need to get it repaired. It going to be more expensive than my excess so I decide to log a claim. I have a couple of little scratchs on my car which I think would make perfect sense to have repaired at the same time. Just normal wear and tear type stuff, nothing mjor at all. I call the call centre and log the claim for the taxi incident. When I ask about getting the other scratches sorted at the same time apparently I needed to be paying an additional monthly fee (which I wasn't aware of) or otherwise I need to pay a second excess to get them repaired. If the scratches are going to cost less than the second excess they will not get them repaired and I need to get them done in my private capacity. So I pay /- R1600 per month on a car worth about R130k (Insane in itself don't you think... I assumed it included all the little extras at this price!) and now need to get one repair done through them and then the rest done privately. After being a client for years and years I guess it is time to move on and start supporting the competition, they would deserve my (lower) premium payment a whole lot more than this bunch.
