RCP Loan Payment missed due to SBSA incompetence

I have an RCP Loan with SBSA. I have changed the account to run the installments for this loan and my SBSA credit card debit orders. I did this over the phone in October 2012. SBSA failed to do this. I phoned again in November. This time they did switch, but only the one account, the credit card. Payment was missed on 28 December and I only received a phone call yesterday from SBSA advising that the account is in arrears. I immediately made payment from my ABSA account.
This is not the first time SBSA drops the ball in similar matters. My TransUnion ITC now reflects a 30 day arrears for December which I expect SBSA should take up with TransUnion to rectify to an 'OK' status as this is not my fault - it is the poor service once again from SBSA.
I spoke to a woman Applelomy in the Checques & Loans department when I phoned the prestige line this morning to sort this out. She insisted that I go in to the branch to speak to some one there. I asked who, she juast said anyone. I do not see why I have to waste my time going in to the bank if the mistake is clearly once again on SBSA's side!?! I did ask for her team leader - Terrence Hakle or Shelton Reddy - she said I can't speak to them
