There are 6 service bays in each in the speed and business tellers. At 13h15 today, there were a total of 2 at the "speed" tellers, and ONE at the business tellers. The queues were filling the banking halls. I recon the average that each person waits to be served is app 30 min.
I know that I will be contacted by the branch after this letter, to tell me how sorry they are, but you know what, don't bother, because this is not the first time I complain, and NOTHING gets done! The South African people have just become numb to bad service. We stand in queues and wait patiently for a service that we pay for in banking, service and cash deposit fees and any other fees they can possibly think of to charge us with, yet, our time is not considered of any value, wasting it in there queues. If only 16 people wait for 30 minutes each, it is a day wasted in man hours in our country. My suggestion to the "valued clients of FNB" is that we stand together and send the bank accounts for our time! Maybe they will calculate that it would be cheaper to employ more people - seeing that there slogan reads "How can we help? " Pay us for our time that you waste OR EMPLOY MORE PEOPLE!
