I lodged 2 claims in December for the same vehicle. In both instances the insurer referred me to the same supplier.

Both quotations were submitted on the 19th of December.

An assessor was only appointed on the 6th of January, the assessors are in Cape Town and we are situated in Johannesburg. I was assured that that would not make an impact on either of the claims.

I have now received confirmation that my vehicle has been booked for repairs on 20/01/2014, when I phoned the repair centre to confirm that both sets of repairs are to be done, they informed me only one repair was authorised.

Neither the insurer or the claims assessor has been able to provide feedback as to why only one repair was authorised. Is it not common sense to do both repairs at the same time, rather than at two different occasions?

The Indwe call centre for claims is also overly full and none of my calls took less than 10 minutes to answer, they are unable to advise on my rental vehicle (which I pay an additional premium for each month) for the repair period. So with 2 working days to go, I still have not had indication of how to obtain the alternative transport.
