Standard Bank offers this wonderful Ucount which encourages you to swipe your card and earn points. After swiping my card at a Caltex garage I found that the amount swiped for has been debited 8 days later then a second time I swiped my card the amount was debited 3 days later. How can a bank operate like this. Obviously I check my balance regularly and plan according to the available amount. All of a sudden I find that the available amount is not what its suppose to be or what I thought it was. How will I ever be able to plan my finances with such a delay on my account. If this is the kind of service you get from Standard Bank you'll never know whether you are coming or going. I have changed from one bank to the next 3 times due to bad service, seems like I have to continue shopping and changing.

All other banks show transactions on accounts immediately. Why not Standard Bank? I will not continue to bank with Standard Bank if this problem persists. Especially not if FNB (for instance) offers exactly the same and will move my debit orders and everything over to FNB with merely the click of a button, within a working day. Please give me a reason to stay with Standard Bank.
