Settlement higher than balance

I have been trying to get hold of your accounts department the whole day, when i call in i hold on forever to get to a consultant. i would like to settle and close my account, but dont understand how my settlement amount is higher than the outstanding balance!? it would just make sense that you would get a good settlement amount seeing that you would like to settle and close???
Please can someone have a look into this and contact me so that i can finalise this
