Bridge Loans
Settlement discount more than outstanding balance

Business & Finance

This I rather find hilarious. So I've had a lod with SA Multi loan now trading as Bridge loans. For the last 2 weeks I have been requesting a settlement letter from them so I can settle my account. I got feedback that the settlement amount is R4200, however was advised by their consultant that considering I requested this close to my debit order date, I should rather wait for the debit order to go through and then request a new settlement. My debit oder of R1895 went off and now I requested a new settlement. To my surprie, the settlement is now R3200, so I ask how is that possible if my debit order just got off, I am then being told it's because I am settling the account sooner. But this even gets more interesting, MY OUTSTANDING BALANCE is less that the settlement amount.??? So if I pay them in the next 2 months I pay less than what I can pay now @ one go!!! Isn't a settlement amount suppose to be the lesser amount? Don't consumers get a discount for settling accounts sooner? And then I mail their customer service department, NO ONE has the decency to respond. What am I supposed to do now???
