SANTAM DOES NOT CARE!!!

On 6/1/2014, I had an unfortunate situation, where I got home around 5pm and found a burst geyser. The roof in the lounge had completely collapsed destroying most of my furniture in the lounge & carpets in the bedrooms. After being given wrong info by a Santam agent, I was unable to register immediately but only the next day. I then reported this complaint to their Complaints Dept (Fathima), she assured me that the call will be listened to & the agent's team leader wil call me back the same day. I'm still waiting!!! Ever since, I have made countless calls to Santam to follow up. Their assessor only came to my property on Friday & from my understanding, has submitted the report the same day. Someone has decided to sit on this report till today & has not bothered to look at it or come back to me. In the meantime, Santam is expecting me to live in a house that has no roof & other basic services. Im expected to live like an unwanted animal. I have been informed of the fact that there is a back log on the claims submitted so I went out of my way to get a contractor who gave me a quote & is willing to start the work immediately. Why is nobody getting back to me? I need my house fixed!
