Poor claims experience

I drove into a guinea fowl on Sunday 9 November. I immediately phoned Santam's claims dept and was 'assisted' by an agent called Nelson. Very unhelpful and telephone manner very poor!

I then mailed quotes obtained from BMW to Santam's documents department on 11 November. I also took my vehicle to Santam's drive in Centre on Wednesday where they assessed the damage and approved the claim. I have proof of all quotes and photo's sent to Santam.

Now, I get a call from the panel beater stating that the one part was not authorised by Santam and the panel beater needs to order it and it will take another week!

Santam always advertise that their claims are the best of all insurers. I beg to differ.
