Standard Bank, Moving backwards!!!

I have now been a Standard Bank client for close to 30 years and being a Private Banking thought it would count for some kind of loyalty but I guess not.

I have been trying to apply for a bond and as I have had two previous home loans as well as my personal and business accounts with Standard Bank I assumed it should be a simple process, but now that they are supposedly "moving forward" it is near impossible to speak to anyone in the branch who is familiar with your account and near impossible to get anything done.

So yesterday I contact the branch in the hope that the very efficient person I normally dealt with for the past 15 year can assist me in the process. I am told she is on leave but that they will have her supervisor call me, it is now 24 hours later and still not a word. This from a Team Leader who is supposed to lead the team. No wonder there service is so bad.

Standard Bank, your customer service. I think is it time I vote with my support and move all my accounts to a bank who is actually willing to speak to and offer assistance to their customer.
