My father who was a customer of Std bank passed away April last year. All documentation was handed to the executors of the estate (East London) and now allegedly is lying at the master of the court here in JHB. I have had a call almost everyday from Std bank regarding his account and I relay the info to them. I have also spoken to a lady in deceased accounts at Std and handed death certificate over (25 June 2013). Subsequently I receive calls daily, final straw a call in December regarding my Dad's account from a very rude woman from Std who slammed the phone down in my ear after I raised my voice complaining that I was tired of speaking to them explaining that my Dad had passed away etc. Is there no communication in Std bank regarding these matters. It is rather distressing having to repeat over and over that my Dad has passed away and I am waiting for the executors of the estate to wrap up the estate. Is the account now accumulating interest, why has it not been frozen, what is Std bank doing to respect their customers. I have also been a customer of Std for 20 yrs but now feel I am going to move my account elsewhere as this level of service is unacceptable to a human being.
