I took out a loan with African Bank in 2012 and was a very good Payer until I got retrenched in February 2013, now according to my contract it states that African bank will cover the balance in case of retrenchment. What I did was provide all the relevant documents (retrenchment letter & certified ID document) and sent it through to their claims dept, but I still receive calls from African bank harassing me for money that I owe them. I spoke to an agent today 12/05/13 could not make out her name she refused to provide me with details for the complaints dept and refused to get me a manager I feel like I have been wronged and I received that my account is now handed over to a dept collections agency, why is African bank refusing to resolve my query and why are there agents so incompetent? I feel disgusted by the poor level of service that I received from this bank and I would like to make formal complaint with the local ombudsman. This an ongoing issue and its just not getting resolved.
