No communication or service as promised

There was an armed at my rented out house (Jukskei Park- Johannesburg) with unfortunately my tenant suffering a shot wound with the result that there was blood all over the carpets, the security doors were damaged and windows broken by the shooting. This was reported and the claim accepted on approx 6th December. The carpets were replaced quite promptly BUT the security door and windows which are probably the most important - have still not been replaced - with the result that I have very traumatised tenants. The contractor used by the assessor has phoned my tenants to say that "he will come sometime this week" - surely an appointment and an approx time would be the way to go so that someone can make a plan to be home. I just find the general attitude very unsatisfactory. I do realise that we were going into the Christmas period which can make service more difficult - but surely if one assessor or contractor goes on leave there must be others who can step in in an organisation as big as Santam/Sanlam? So generally disappointing service.
