I called Outsurance today the 7th jan at about 14H27 enquiring about taking out a Life Cover for my parents, cover to be in my parents name not mine. I was told for me to be assisted, my parents must call Outsurance themselves. I then explained that my parents are uneducated and unemployed, and I asked if is there any other method of signing them up that can be used. I was told, sorry, we cannot help you. When I requested to be transferred to the Complaints Dept to lodge my complaint about the matter because I am now convinced Outsurance' offerings is only for the EDUCATED, then, the consultant/agent twisted the story. Now, she said no, Outsurance can assist but there is a letter I must sign agreeing to act on behalf of my parents and she wanted to put me through to Sales. This conduct is UNETHICAL, DISCRIMINATORY and a SHAME. When Outsurance advertises its products, it must state: 'IF YOU ARE ILLITERATE OR CANNOT EXPRESS YOURSELF IN ENGLISH - PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER - WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN YOU - YOU COMPLICATE OUR PROCESSES'. Atleast that way, it would have been publicly transparent and honest.
