Recently had the unfortunate experience of being a victim of crime, and duly reported the incident to the SAPS as a good boy should. I then instituted a claim for the items. The amount of the items is about R2800. The claim centre then duly informed me that they would refuse to honour my claim as there was no sign of forced entry into my vehicle. These are obviously not upto date with the latest ways of our criminal elements as they can enter a car without you even realizing this. I pay my premiums every month, and expect to be covered when something happens to my possessions, or what is the point of being insured.
Well, Woolworths Insurance has opened my eyes, and I have no cancelled my policy with them and demanded a refund of my premiums. They have now lost R1600 per month, and I will inform everyone I know to cancel their policies with these lowlifes. They are very happy to take your money every month, but won't pay out when you need them. They are like prostitutes, take your money and then you. Luckily I never said that these items were from my person, as I would have to show them my hand that was chopped off. Be warned, be self-insured, safer.
