I have been banking with Standard Bank for many years now, and the last few months it seems that I should rather find a different bank!! Just after I got married in May I went into the bank to change all my details. About a month ago they froze my account without even notifying me. When I phoned in to query it they told me the account was frozen because of outstanding documents. I have to go into the bank for the second time. When I got there they told me all my documents were there but it was not submitted correctly the first time. So I wasted my time going into the bank!! Last night I drew money from the ATM and the money went of my account but the ATM froze before it could give me my money. When I phoned them they told me I have to go into the bank AGAIN to reverse that money because of a faulty ATM. Should't they have records that the money didn't leave the ATM, and refund that money immediately??? I work 7 days a week, I don't have time to go and sit in the bank every single time Standard Bank makes a mistake!!!
