First National Bank
Loan debit

Business & Finance

As I am sure happened to a lot of FNB's clients, my loan was debited early so exactly 1 week before Christmas my bank account was CLEARED OUT by FNB who seem to be believe they are entitled to do so. I have explicitly stated to FNB on several occasions over the many years I have been a loyal customer that my debit orders are NOT to come off my account before the end of the month! On 17th December, while obviously stupidly making plans for Christmas, I transferred funds to my cheque acc which FNB promptly. I went to the Bayside Branch and requested a refund which I was told would take UP TO 48 hours. It has now been two days and still no refund?!? I did not give permission for them to take this debit order early and I was not informed that this would happen. I also logged a complaint on FNB's website and in branch (ref. 3888965) which was supposedly going to be answered within 24 hours... still waiting. Is it now FNB's policy to from their clients over the Christmas period and then ignore all complaints and make their clients feel completely used and abused. For the first time in years I VERY SERIOUSLY considering switching banks. I want this issue resolved.
