I transferred R11200 to an FNB Account for a rental deposit, aft 30min of doing so, I realised i had been. I immediately went into the Brooklyn Branch, no one was able to assist me, i was given a call centre no to call, which I did. I held on for over 20min and was transferred to 10 diff people before i finally got through to the right person. I requested the bank to stop the payment to FNB, i was told that since it was a matter of i was unable to trace and recall and was trnfd to the transactional dep, I related the events to them an asked for a reference number i was told that there was none, i could use their names as reference. I also emailed them hoping to get some feedback. All is happened between 30 to 120 minutes after i made the transfer. FNB, at this point confirmed that the money had not been transferred to them yet and it could still be stopped. I did all they asked to me including opening a police case, but nothing was stopped until 1.5 days later by then the criminal had withdrawn the money. And now STD Bank emails me, saying the matter is closed from their side, sorry they cannot assist. The Complaints department also refused to lodge a complaint
