DON'T CARE ATTITUDE TO A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER!

I called Santam on the 12th December & spoke to Siki Memani about a quote. She took down ALL my personal details & gave me a quote of which tracker was a requirement. I then said that I would get back to her once I contacted tracker myself to get the premium. I called her back to re-iterate what was the necessity of tracker as another broker who got a quote from Santam told me that tracker was not compulsory. She insisted it was. I then told her that I would accept the quote, but she then advised that it would have to go through an underwriter on the 13th and she now needed all my details again! On the 17th she got back to say that her initial quote which included a R2500 excess has now changed to R10 000.00 to honor the premium she quoted. I told her that R 10 000 is ridiculous and her response "well that's fine then". This don't care attitude was her response to numerous questions I had. Surely this is not customer service & just a rip off! For an excess to increase from R2500 to R10 000 makes no sense. I am not a customer of Santam & will not recommend them to anyone because if this is the way they treat potential customers, I shudder to think what they do to their clients.
