DISGUSTING SERVICE - CANCELLING MY POLICY OF 20YR

A family member whom I live with has had Santam Isurance for household and vehicles for more than 20 years and hardly ever claimed. Her policy includes breakdown of household and electrical items - full all risk and her broker advised she claim when her dishwasher that is 10 years old packed up and could not be repaired. We sent SANTAM a quote from electrical company advising repair would be too costly and parts on old model not even available any longer. Santam REFUSE to replace. We sent in two quotes for replacement, one for around R 4000 and another for R2500. Excess of R 500 payable by us as well as delivery fee. Well, much to my utter disappoinment and disgust SANTAM refuse to replace the dishwasher. I am appalled at this level of service from SANTAM and am so sorry we wasted around R 12 300 per annum on premiums - for roughly 20 years this is a whopping R246 000 spent in premiums for a company who wont pay out a claim of R2500 minus excess of R 500.!!!
SHOCKING SANTAM -SHAME ON YOU! We are cancelling this policy and will inform all my colleaugues and customers to do the same. GOOD RIDDANCE SANTAM - YOU!
