I've been insured with standard bank insurance for 4years.friday night my water meter pipe burst & i called them very early saturday morning & explained what happened & they told me they will send a plumber out.i asked them to make it as urgent as we dont have any water & i have a 2week old baby in the house.they told me ok they wil do that.i then got an sms from them to advise the call has been logged & another saying the plumber will call me within 10min, the plumber only called after an hour & i explained the urgency to him as well.i was then told by the plumber that his people is busy & they can only come out later that afternoon.in the meantime we had to get out a private plumber & had to fork out money that we dont have for a private plumber.why do i have insurance when they cant assist you in time of need & it is impossible that they can only have 1 plumber on their panel.for the 4 years i've been insured with them this was the first time i had an incident & received pathetic service.the plumber only called me the sunday morning to advise he is @my house, how unbelievable is that & they didnt even bother to phone the saturday to advise that they wont be comin out.
