When a reservation for a vehicle was made in person, no insurance cover or accident waiver was discussed or offered thereafter when having communicated telephonic ally it was confirmed that the accident cover and windscreen, tyre cover will be discussed on the day of the vehicle delivery.
Hence when the day arrived for the vehicle to be delivered, the above information was not relayed.
A witness present at the time can confirm the above statement.
During the period that the vehicle was in hire, the vehicle had a tyre blow out, incurring expenses.
After receiving the invoice for total hire and damages the amount way exceeds our previous expectation and now the Rental Sales Agent of Avis insists the amount needs to be paid irrespective.
Is this a common practice of an internationally renowned rental company?
Is this typical business ethics of Avis?
