I am m a Standard Bank staff member. Applied for a home loan in March 2013. After about 3 weeks my bond was granted. When the bank contacted me to read the terms and conditions, I found that my interest rate was loaded incorrectly. I logged a call to have the error corrected. I was given 3 different reference numbers over a period of three weeks, however, nobody could rectify the error. I then decided to log a compliant with the complaints dept. My issue was eventually resolved in 2 weeks. When it was time for my bank to issue guarantees, another error was detected. My application was loaded as a building loan and I had to allow another week for the error to be corrected.

After a long wait with council, the bond was finally registered on 02/12/2013. Standard Bank contacted me immediately thereafter to inform me that my 1 st debit order will be due on 20/12/2013. I accepted.

On 13/12/2013 the seller contacted me to advise that he has paid another installment as my bank has not paid out yet. I phoned the customer contact centre and they logged another call to obtain proof of payment. This. morning I received an email from the customer liaison dept advising that the payment rejected
